Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and compare inverter and module technologies to determine the most optimal design for solar power plants.
  2. Inverter and Module Sizing: Size string and central inverters, design string configurations, and determine block sizing to ensure efficient operation of solar power plants.
  3. PVsyst Simulations: Conduct thorough PVsyst simulations, iterating for accurate energy yield estimations to optimize the performance of solar installations.
  4. Grid Compliance: Ensure compliance with grid requirements for ground-mounted solar plants and analyze the impact on PV plant inverters and other electrical equipment/systems.
  5. AutoCAD Design: Prepare and analyze Array ICR and MCR layouts, DC, AC, MV cable routing using AutoCAD to ensure precise and effective electrical designs.
  6. Sizing Calculations: Perform sizing calculations for earthing, lightning protection, illumination, battery, UPS, switchgears, etc., ensuring the safety and reliability of the solar power plant.
  7. BOQ and Technical Specifications: Prepare comprehensive solar plant Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications for all electrical equipment involved in the project.
  8. Single Line Diagrams: Develop DC, AC, and Protection Single Line Diagrams to guide the electrical aspects of the solar power project.
  9. Site Visits and Coordination: Conduct site visits, actively participate in interdisciplinary meetings, and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams for seamless project execution.

 

Preferred Candidates:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in electrical design for solar power plants.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of inverter and module technologies, grid compliance, and electrical system design.
  • Skills: Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills for PVsyst simulations and energy yield estimation.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD and the latest version of PV Syst software.
  • Communication: Effective communication and coordination abilities for interdisciplinary teamwork.
