Overview: This role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about data and analysis, seeking to make a significant impact within a dynamic team. The position involves maintaining current processes, establishing new performance standards, and problem-solving to innovate collaborative work methods. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting inventory and SIOP activities within the global supply chain function (GSM) at Hillenbrand.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Material Management System:
• Organize data from various plants.
• Clean up and organize data using business analysis tools.
• Assist with analysis, including ABC-XYZ Part profile.
2. Reporting:
• Build reporting structures for inventory and SIOP.
• Support daily management cadence with analysis reporting.
• Implement end-of-life product cycle management.
• Provide value stream solutions for inventory reporting (RAW, WIP, FG, DIOH, etc.).
• Generate analysis reports with suggested actions on the burn-down process.
3. Excess and Obsolete (E&O) Analysis:
• Develop analysis reports for E&O.
• Build databases in Power BI for E&O.
• Generate analysis reports with suggested actions on the burn-down process.
4. Month Close Activities:
• Support month-close activities related to inventory and policy implementation.
5. Process Improvement:
• Establish lean processes to support effective daily management and problem-solving.
• Perform detailed analysis for site & GSM.
Team and Environment:
• Collaborate with multiple operating companies and a diverse cross-functional team.
• Work with geographically diverse teams (Asia, Europe, North America) and interact with various functional groups and data systems (GSM, Plant Operations, Sales, Commercial, Engineering, etc.).
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, data science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar industry.
• ERP functional skills for Materials Management and Inventory Management.
• Familiarity with standard costing, analysis of slow/non-moving inventory, vendor-managed inventory, reconciliation of subcontracted inventory, and ratio analysis.
Preferred Skills:
• Competent in building Power BI reports.
• Creating interfaces between ERP and BI reports for auto-updates.
• Publishing reports from Power BI to SharePoint and other shared spaces.
• Microsoft Access and/or SQL experience strongly preferred.
